SFILATINO

The true baguette was born in France. This Italian baguette has a thick and chewy crust; this bread is great to eat along with hard cheeses as reggiano, baita friuli, or any other hard cheeses. Dip in olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar for another great way to eat this bread.

Ingredients: unbleached flour, salt, yeast, water, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, olive oil.

CIABATTA

Italian for "Slipper", closely reminicent to a slipper. Ciabatta is a crusty, porous loaf with big occhi ("eyes") inside. This bread is good split - and filled with prosciutto or salami.Also good for dipping in virgin olive oil, toasted and served with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil.

Ingredients: unbleached flour, salt, water, yeast.

PAN ACIDO

'Sourdough Bread'

Our sourdough has its roots from San Francisco, with a 24-hour fermentation; with natural yeast. It gives this loaf a fine texture and a full deep flavor.

Goes well with seafood, soups and chowders

Ingredients: unbleached flour, organic whole-wheat flour, salt, water, olive oil, sourdough-starter.

PAGNOTTA

'Round Country Bread'

A rustic peasant loaf with a hard, deep brown crust and a soft, white center. Excellent for dipping in virgin olive oil, great for bruschetta. Also good for dipping in virgin olive oil, toasted and served with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil.

Ingredients: unbleached flour, salt, water, yeast.

FILONE

'Cigar-Shaped Bread'

This white bread, with a crisp, thin crust and soft interior is similar to a French loaf. It is perfect with everything from Caesar salad to grilled salmon or roast chicken. At L'AROMA bakery we use this bread on our catering for bruschetta, but it is the ideal base for French toast

'Olive Bread'

This bread has a tender white interior flecked

with bits of rosemary leaves and is topped with a sprinkling of coarse salt. This bread is good with cold or hot roast pork sandwiches, grilled eggplant, or goat cheeses

Ingredients: unbleached flour, calamata olives, yeast, salt, water, olive oil.

PANE ALLE PATATE

'Potato Bread'

This bread has a tender white interior flecked

with bits of rosemary leaves and is topped with a sprinkling of coarse salt. This bread is good with cold or hot roast pork sandwiches, grilled eggplant, or goat cheeses

'Rosemary Bread'

This bread has a tender white interior flecked

PANE MIELE

'Honey Whole Bread'

This bread is made with organic wheat flour along with the sweetest honey available.

This bread is good with sliced smoked turkey, tuna salad, or fresh grilled vegetables.

TWELVE GRAIN

This bread is made with organic whole-wheat flourand a combination of twelve different grains to include cracked wheat, barley, oats, and corn. This bread is great sliced and served as part of a vegetarian sandwich, or with our eggplant pate spread.

Ingredients: unbleached wheat flour, med. rye flour, coarse rye flour, rolled oats, barley, cracked wheat, corn flour, millet, brown rice flour, flax, salt, yeast, honey, water.

PEASANT

L'AROMA bakery version of this recipe has lots of healthy grains and molasses that contribute to the unique texture & aroma of our handcrafted loaf. The bread, which has a tender brown interior, goes fabulous with any hearty stew, soups, roasts, cold or hot roast pork sandwiches, grilled eggplant, or goat cheeses.

Ingredients: unbleached flour, whole-wheat flour, mixed eight-grain flour, molasses salt, yeast and water.

PANE ALTAMURA

Here is a heavy country bread, with a pale ivory interior and a distinctive, quite wonderful flavor that is excellent with spaghetti dinners, lasagna or just dipping in extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar.

'Walnut Raisin Bread"
